Alas, my hiatus from DA was far longer than expected, but not without good cause. The last couple of months have brought lots of change in my life, from moving, school, and work, and unfortunately that saps time away from more creative endeavors. In a way, I'm thankful for the break, as it helped me focus on exactly what I wanted to work on. While I can't promise a weekly deviation (though that would be nice), I will try to return to DA with some creative new pieces. One of the reasons for this new ambition has been the discovery and use of the world's best free graphic editor, GIMP. I've used Adobe Photoshop before, and while it still rules supreme, GIMP has provided so many features for free that I don't even miss CS2.
I've been inspired to craft some more goodness from my library of photos, and plan to do a bit more over the next while.
